What is Project Fair Trade

Project Fair Trade is an Organic Thought initiative that works to create opportunities for impoverished families. Project Fair Trade allows poverty-stricken families in Bolivia and Peru to sell their weavings outside their impoverished markets at a fair price. The products we as consumers buy in our local retail stores, brand name jeans, t-shirts, etc, are far too often imported from workers in foreign countries that are treated and paid very poorly. The goal of Project Fair Trade is to allow consumers to buy their fashion from a place where they can be sure the worker was not only treated fair, but the whole price was paid toa disadvantaged family in need.
